Von der Hamas gestellte „Polizisten“ überfielen am Dienstag ein Warenlager der UNRWA, was diesmal selbst deren Sprecher einräumen muß, und stahlen Hilfsgüter:
„‚It’s a very serious incident,‘ Jerusalem-based UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness told Israel National News. ‚We condemn it in the strongest terms and we demand that the items be returned immediately.‘
Hamas police grabbed 3,500 blankets and 407 food parcels, according to Gunness, who said his staff was present at the time of the heist. ‚We were there, and we tried to stop them, but they were armed and we were not,‘ he said.“
Doch trotz des bewaffneten Angriffs versucht der UNRWA-Sprecher noch, mit einer Lüge die Terroristen zu verteidigen, indem er den Diebstahl zur Beschlagnahme umdeutet und frühere Überfälle der Hamas einfach leugnet:
„This is not the first time that Hamas terrorists have stolen humanitarian aid supplies, according to the IDF. Gunness maintained they had never before looted from UNRWA, however. ‚It’s the first time that our aid has been confiscated,‘ he said.“
Daran, die Arbeit in Gaza einzustellen – wie etwa im Fall eines angeblichen Beschusses eines UN-Konvois durch israelische Streitkräfte, der indes gar nicht stattfand, geschehen -, denkt Chris Gunness bezeichnenderweise nicht.
